Terms and Conditions for Seminar Participation
1. Seminar Registration
Registration for seminars can be completed online through the Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy website: www.med-tronik.de. If you do not have internet access, please provide the participant’s full name, company and billing address, and contact details (phone, fax, email) in writing to receive a registration confirmation. Upon registration, you will automatically receive a confirmation containing seminar details, an invoice, directions, and a list of recommended hotels.
If the seminar is fully booked, we will notify you immediately. Registration is considered accepted if no rejection is issued within 21 days. Participation is not guaranteed, and Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy reserves the right to accept or deny participation at its discretion. By registering, you agree to attend the entire seminar. Fees for late arrivals or early departures are non-refundable. Current seminar fees are listed in the seminar program, and the prices at the time of registration apply. Seminar fees include seminar materials and a certificate of attendance.
Participants are responsible for organizing and covering travel and accommodation costs. The seminar fee must be paid in full no later than 14 days before the seminar start date or immediately for short-term registrations. If payment is not received on time, the certificate of attendance will be withheld, and any special offers will be revoked.
2. Communication
We will communicate with you using the contact details provided on the registration form for all seminar-related purposes. By providing your contact details, you agree that your personal information may be used for seminar-related communication and will be shared with the seminar organizer to facilitate invoicing and logistics. This may include notifications regarding cancellations, venue changes, or other important updates. Your personal information will not be shared with third-party services without your consent.
3. Cancellation and Participant Changes
You may cancel, reschedule, or designate a substitute prior to the seminar:
3.1 Substitute
You may appoint a substitute participant up to 48 hours before the seminar, provided the substitute meets all participation requirements. Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy reserves the right to approve any substitute.
3.2 Rescheduling
You may reschedule once, free of charge, up to 14 days before the seminar start date to another equivalent seminar. The new seminar must be selected within one week of rescheduling. Rescheduling after this period will be treated as a cancellation.
3.3 Cancellation
Cancellations are subject to the following conditions:
-
Up to 21 days before the seminar: no charge
-
Between 20 and 14 days before the seminar: 50% of the participation fee
-
Less than 14 days before the seminar or no-show: 100% of the participation fee
Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email, fax, or using the cancellation link provided in the original confirmation email. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted. The effective date of cancellation will be the date on which Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy receives your written notice.
4. Seminar Cancellation by Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy
Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy reserves the right to cancel seminars due to insufficient participation (no later than 10 days before the seminar) or for other reasons beyond our control (e.g., speaker illness, force majeure). In such cases, all fees paid will be refunded immediately. Further liability or compensation claims are excluded unless based on gross negligence or willful misconduct by Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy or its representatives.
5. Changes to the Seminar
Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy reserves the right to make necessary changes to seminar content, organization, schedule, or venue, provided such changes do not significantly alter the overall character of the seminar. Participants will be informed of changes promptly. We may replace planned speakers with equally qualified individuals if required.
6. Participant Conduct and Liability
Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that respects the rights and safety of others. Any behavior deemed harmful or disruptive by Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy will result in immediate removal from the seminar, without a refund of registration fees or other payments.
Participants must adhere to the health and safety policies of the venue at all times. Failure to comply with health and safety requests from Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy or the venue will result in removal from the seminar, without a refund. Participants are not permitted to bring hazardous or dangerous items to the seminar.
Participants are responsible for ensuring no damage is caused to any part of the venue, including interior and exterior areas, walls, flooring, fixtures, and fittings. Any damage caused by participants, their employees, contractors, sub-contractors, or agents must be fully reimbursed to Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy.
Participants are advised to keep their personal belongings with them at all times. Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy accepts no liability for any damage, loss, or theft of items brought to the seminar by participants.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise specified, all copyrights and intellectual property rights in any promotional materials and seminar materials (including course notes, slides, brochures, articles, case studies, and any materials provided by the speaker or trainer) are owned by Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy. These materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or used in any form or medium without prior written consent from Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy or the speaker/trainer.
8. Photography and Recording
We may photograph or record seminars for promotional purposes, including future events and marketing materials. By attending the seminar, you consent to being photographed or recorded, along with any individuals attending with you. These images and recordings may be used by Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy without compensation. Participants are not permitted to take photographs or make video recordings without prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
While Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy takes reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and security of seminar attendees, we are not liable for any loss or damage suffered by participants in connection with the seminar, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Nothing in these terms and conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or in connection with this contract shall be limited to the amount paid by participants for the seminar. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses or damages of any kind.
Please note that the views, opinions, or recommendations expressed by speakers, trainers, or other participants during the seminar are solely their own and do not necessarily reflect those of Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy. Med-Tronik GmbH / MORA Academy accepts no liability for any reliance placed on such views, opinions, or recommendations.
