The MORA Academy website has played a crucial role in organizing and showcasing seminars, as well as providing a simple way for users to register. Over the years, however, the site had become bloated and disorganized due to certain plugins that slowed down the user experience and made backend management challenging.
To address these issues, we have completely redesigned the website. Every element has been custom-built to create a faster, more robust platform that significantly improves both the user experience and the backend management. While the underlying structure has been rebuilt, most of the styles and visuals have been preserved to maintain the original look and feel of the website.
Translation plugins were considered; however, they can be a resource-consuming endeavor, slowing down the entire site, as these plugins are typically heavy and cumbersome. Additionally, automatic translations are available on most modern browsers.
The seminar names, details, and registration forms are provided in their respective languages to limit confusion for users.
Homepage
The homepage provides a general overview of all available seminars. Clicking on any seminar’s image or name will take users directly to that seminar’s dedicated page.
Calendar, Agenda, and Filter Pages
The new calendar, agenda, and filter pages offer enhanced ways to explore available seminars:
- Calendar Page: Seminars for the current year are displayed, with colors representing different seminars. Clicking on a day will bring up a card with more information and a link to the seminar’s page. Try it here.
- Agenda Page: Seminars are shown in a list format, with each seminar’s respective color and a flag indicating the language. Try it here.
- Filter Page: This page allows users to dynamically filter seminars by selecting seminar type and/or language, helping them quickly find seminars of interest. Try it here.
In addition, users can easily search for seminars using the new Ajax search module, which dynamically displays results as users type, based on criteria such as seminar name, language, or trainer name.
